ENDORSEMENTS
I like Kathy Willis because she’s a person of integrity. But that’s not all. I use her services and send people to her regularly because she’s good at what she does. No, that’s not quite right and as a writer I get to edit my comments: She’s superb as what she does.
- Cecil (Cec) Murphey, Bestselling Author (120+ books) and Speaker
With KCWC, an author doesn’t get a boilerplate campaign. Kathy and her staff worked hard to design a campaign especially for my book, and it was terrific. Their professionalism and enthusiasm to serve the Lord and their clients with excellence make them a joy to work with.
- Virginia Smith, Award-Winning Novelist and Speaker
The benefits of having Kathy Carlton Willis Communications on the team extend far beyond Kathy’s gift for spotlight-shining. Working with KCWC guarantees a dramatic increase in a client’s gratitude quotient.

As a writer, my biggest struggle is promoting my books. I would so much rather be writing. So what a joy it was to have Kathy Carlton Willis bring her expertise as a professional publicist to my latest endeavor. Not only did she handle the promotion of my first novel, but I learned so much from her that I can actually accomplish much more during my own promo hours. Thank you, Kathy!

I'd like to recommend Kathy C Willis as a wonderful publicist! She is a talented promoter with good connections to all the right places. I've used her services twice, and she has been successful both times in getting speaking gigs and rising sales of my books. Kathy is a cooperative worker with a sweet disposition. She will work with you on publicity and is not a monster about deadlines (as some others are)! I highly recommend her as a Christian publicist. She is awesome!

Kathy Carlton Willis has been not only a joy to work with, but has taken my ministry to the next level. When I hired Kathy, I figured my output would be doubled simply because there were now two of us working in my ministry. I was wrong. Adding Kathy and her team has quadrupled my output, freeing me to do the things I'm really good at and helping me to concentrate my own efforts. I highly recommend Kathy to anyone considering hiring a publicist. There is a reason her ministry is growing and bringing in the big name clients. You need to learn why firsthand.

When my publishing house assigned Kathy Carlton Willis to my book project, I had no idea what to expect. What exactly does a "book doctor" do? I soon discovered Kathy to be hardworking, and have enjoyed our working relationship. She's as passionate for this project as if it was her own and I constantly thank God for her commitment to excellence.
Kathy allowed Jesus to take the wheel regarding this project, and listened to the Lord for guidance. This was clearly not a run of the mill, everyday editing project.
It involved a great deal of collaboration, and she has exceeded my expectations, carefully listened to my suggestions and concerns and incorporating them into the finished product. She helped in rewriting the book, in coming up with a companion journal to offer our readers, and is now working on Book Two. She has also consulted with me regarding the niche marketing and publicity campaign and is creative in thinking outside of the box to reach the intended audience with the message.
It's clear to see that Kathy not only views this as her business but also as a ministry.

Kathy Willis goes beyond an excellent professional--even proprietary--interest in the work of one of her clients, she adds the personal touch. Signing on with Kathy Carlton Willis Communications was one of the best decisions I ever made, particularly because her expertise and enthusiasm helped propel my project forward at a crucial time.

Kathy Willis wrote for our newspaper for several years and we view her as professional and a very creative writer. She wrote for our Church Page and her writing was inspirational during times when the news was very bleak. She never missed a deadline and always had a fresh approach to her articles week after week. I would recommend Kathy for a position and/or endorse her writing. We appreciate everything Kathy has done for our paper.

Kathy has a heart for my ministry and understands my passions. writes great press releases, loves research and has found so many outlets I'd never have found to send information about the conference. She is cheerful, fun, a hard worker and loves to brainstorm. Besides arranging blog tours, getting radio and TV interviews, article placements, etc., Kathy prays for me and my ministry. I know God is going to take this places I never have dreamed and I can not do it alone. Kathy is a great addition to the team.

Kathy Carlton-Willis is a professional. She has been a superb addition to my publishing team. Not only has she challenged my work to be top-notch, she understands the world of writing on the inside and out. She is trustworthy, reliable and punctual at each step of the process. She is creative and has wonderful ideas for implementation. I highly recommend her services to anyone who wants to be a better writer.

I wanted to thank you for the manuscript critique and for speaking at the 2007 KCWC conference. The comments on my manuscript were insightful and showed me a basic flaw in my writing, which has been holding me back. I especially appreciate your showing me my strengths. Even more helpful was our meeting time to discuss this at the conference. The conversation increased my confidence and gave me more insight about gaps between chapters.
I'm still a beginner, but am working with KCWC on queries and writing for parenting magazines. I have begun the coaching program and am so excited to have Kathy helping me. Her encouragement and expertise spur me on, and I know I am in great hands as I move forward with my writing. I highly recommend!

Kathy Carlton Willis recently wrote a marketing plan and edited my book proposal and three chapters. When I unexpectedly received a request to submit the proposal before our contract date, she moved her finish date forward. She formatted my proposal and chapters to meet a specific agent's requirements. She grasped my book concept and made small tweaks that resulted in a huge difference in readability and flow. From now on, she's my editor of choice.

I was introduced to Kathy Carlton Willis Communications through the publication of my coauthored book, A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts. Kathy and her staff were extremely helpful in working with us in the promotion of our book. Later, when I needed guidance with a book proposal of my own, KCWC came through again by helping me out with suggestions for the marketing section of my proposal finding market niches I had not even considered. Professional, creative, and informative, KCWC is a great resource group to have on your team.

No ministry should go it alone. God’s Word provides many examples of how much we need others. It has been an honor to partner with Kathy Carlton Willis Communications, and receive their expertise in promoting my Bible study Why We Need Girlfriends. Their knowledge and connections with media is amazing and has opened doors that alone I would never have been able to do.

Kathy Carlton Willis My writing ability increased immeasurably a year and a half ago when Kathy Carlton Willis became my coach and mentor. When Kathy saw that a group of writers would benefit from intense online critiquing to develop their skills, she brought together approximately ten people of diverse backgrounds. She set up guidelines, and she expects us to submit and critique a required number of manuscripts according to those guidelines each month. Kathy encourages and prays for each of us, and lets us know how much she believes in our writing projects. I can’t imagine writing in the future without this mentoring group and Kathy’s guidance.
-LeAnn Campbell, Author
I first met Kathy Carlton Willis at the Saint David’s Christian Writers’ Conference. I was instantly drawn to her cheerful personality. I didn’t have to think twice about choosing an editor for my book project, as I felt KCW held just as much enthusiasm for my project as I did. Unlike other editors, Kathy not only did routine edits and made suggestive comments on improving scenes in my novel, but she told me why I needed to change something. Occasionally, she’d pop in a positive remark and just make me smile to know not everything in my novel was as bad as the edit marks seemed.
Throughout the entire project, Kathy was prompt and willing to answer all my questions. I thank God it was in His plans for us work together on making my novel shine. I look forward to working with KCW Communications again in the future.
